Featured on an AIA Tour of Modern Homes in Dallas, this creative modern residence blends high-performance construction with playful artistic expression and thoughtfully curated interior design.

Constructed using the Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) building system, the home combines resilient construction, exceptional energy efficiency, quieter interiors, and long-term durability with bold architectural character and artistic individuality.

The interiors were intentionally designed to feel expressive, unexpected, and highly personal while maintaining warmth and livability throughout the home. Every room reflects the creative influence of the interior designer through layered textures, sculptural elements, curated materials, and playful visual moments that make the home feel both sophisticated and inviting.

A dramatic commissioned art installation by noted artist and sculptor Nic Noblique serves as a central design feature within the home, reinforcing the connection between architecture, craftsmanship, and artistic expression.

One of the home’s signature elements is the custom cantilevered kitchen island featuring a massive carved solid wood bar structurally supported to create a dramatic floating effect. This sculptural centerpiece anchors the open living space while blending functional design with artistic craftsmanship.

The home also features one of the early LED backlit onyx sinks installed in the region at the time, reflecting the project’s playful design spirit and willingness to thoughtfully incorporate innovative materials and lighting elements into everyday living spaces.

Polished concrete floors, expansive outdoor living areas, Spanish porcelain tile, and carefully integrated natural light all contribute to the home’s modern aesthetic while supporting durable, low-maintenance living and long-term performance.

The result is a modern Dallas home that feels creative, comfortable, resilient, and entirely unique while quietly incorporating many of the performance features associated with healthier, energy-efficient homes built to last.
